Koe Wetzel Reading Concert reviews
Koe Wetzel rocks. Thanks for bringing it to Clifton Park boys!! Awesome show! Ian Astbury, what can I say, he brought the energy, enthusiasm, and vocals. The band is proud of their new album and rightfully so. Upstate Concert Hall smelled of sweat, leather, and hair, what an aroma. There is a reason why Ray and Robbie had Ian on lead vocals. Billy Duffy's guitar rang throughout and had the spine tingle nostalgic feeling of listening to Sonic Temple for the first time on cassette with my neighbor back in '89. For those who were there Saturday night I'm sure echo my same sentiments and just wish there were a few more songs to keep us rocking through the night. The whole band brought energy. The new songs, especially Birds of Paradise had a dark, but strangely opportunistic feel as does the entire Hidden City album.
